We always try to help comprehensively. We had an ophthalmologist with us on one of the missions and, of course, we couldn’t just leave people with prescriptions for glasses. Therefore, we bought and sent them to the nurses in the villages we visited. And the nurses on the spot have already handed them over to people.

Special glasses that need to be made to order, people need to go and order themselves. But we were able to help many, and they have already received their glasses.

Many elderly and disabled people stayed in the de-occupied territories. They often move with sticks. This is not the best option for health.

With SWU Japan, we purchased comfortable, high-quality crutches that are adjustable in height to suit people's needs. We already started to give them during the work of the mobile medical centre in the Kherson region.

People for whom moving independently was difficult had come to our telemedical consultations in the village of Kostyrka (Kherson region, de-occupied territory). They used homemade crutches made of sticks, and of course, there are better options than this.

We're glad to give them quality crutches from "Grateful" fund.

The outpatient clinic is being reopened in the village. The nurse went to work on the first day. We gave her a pulse oximeter, glucometer and tonometer. During the occupation, the clinic was destroyed. Windows and doors are knocked out. Some doors are simply taped and assembled in parts. And, of course, there is nothing left of either the medicine or the equipment. Now the nurse has at least something to work with.

After consultations with doctors in the villages, people have a lot of prescribed medicines. On the de-occupied territories, it's challenging to find a working pharmacy, and there is no transportation between settlements.

We bought and sorted all prescribed medicines and made easy-to-read reminders about when and what drugs to take. Also, we prepared information guides about common problems, such as diabetes or stroke.

We collected applications from elderly and bedridden people and delivered all necessary medicines. Pharmacies do not work on the de-occupied territories. There is no electricity. Shops have not yet opened, and there is no work. The only possibility for people to get needed is volunteers who help.

We brought the necessary medicine to the grandmother. Always when we can, we try to not only treat people but also cheer them up. So we gave her a good radio that is strong enough to work in the de-occupied territory.

She said she hadn't heard music for two years. So happy with a new radio! Now Ukrainian songs and programs will please her and her friends nearby.
